Job Summary
The Orthopedic Manual Therapist will provide high-quality rehabilitation to patients with musculoskeletal conditions through hands-on techniques and general physiotherapy services, including assessment, monitoring, and implementing departmental policies.
Responsibilities:
- Treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions and provide general physiotherapy services.
- Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, lifestyle adjustments, and home programs.
- Provide educational materials on exercise programs and risk factor modification.
- Ensure timely and accurate patient documentation.
- Evaluate and monitor patient notes.
- Ensure the functionality of physiotherapy equipment through regular checks.
- Maintain proper patient records.
- Promote compliance with environmental health and occupational safety standards.
- Adhere to infection control guidelines.
- Participate in departmental planning and goal implementation.
- Monitor progress towards set goals and objectives.
- Contribute to quality control and staff development initiatives.
- Conduct in-house Continuous Medical Education (CMEs) for staff and monitor their progress.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Higher National Diploma in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT) from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory registration with the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya.
- A minimum of 2 years of working experience as a physiotherapist.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
