Job Summary
Bristol Park Hospital is looking for a qualified Laboratory Manager to plan, organize, and direct laboratory operations. The role involves ensuring quality and accurate laboratory results, implementing quality assurance programs, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with hospital administration on planning, organizing, and directing laboratory operations.
- Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to established laboratory procedures, manuals, and standards for all tests performed.
- Ensure testing systems provide quality and accurate laboratory results for all aspects of test performance.
- Identify and appoint referral laboratories in liaison with the procurement office and under the supervision of the Operations Manager.
- Ensure total compliance with all relevant safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Ensure effective participation in the hospital's quality assurance program, both internal and external.
- Define, implement, and monitor accepted standards of performance in quality control and quality assurance of laboratory services.
- Ensure operations conform to Quality Management requirements and engage in activities for continuous quality improvement.
- Monitor, manage, and report all occurrences and incidents within the laboratory department.
- Define, monitor, and report laboratory turnaround times for all tests and share regular reports for decision-making.
- Oversee the laboratory referral process to ensure sample integrity is maintained and results are not compromised.
- Support the laboratory in attaining ISO 15189:2012 Accreditation.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science and Technology or its equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from an institution recognized by the KMLTTB.
- Registration Certificate and valid practicing license issued by KMLTTB.
- Experience in an ISO 15189:2012 accredited Laboratory.
- Certificate in computer application.
