Job Summary

Bristol Park Hospital is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to facilitate patient processes, provide excellent customer service, and manage patient inquiries. This role involves ensuring efficient patient flow and handling administrative tasks related to patient care.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the pre-authorization patient process for admissions, surgical procedures, and discharges.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Handle inquiries and direct them appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Book and follow up on specialized clinic appointments for patients.
  • Assist in the patient discharge process to ensure it is timely and effective.
  • Receive patients, ascertain the nature of their visit, and direct them to appropriate services.
  • Assist in running patient bills after service delivery.
  • Manage the patient queue at the reception to avoid overcrowding.
  • Answer queries from patients, pertaining to billed drugs, among others.
  • Prepare insurance claims daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the Head of Department, Customer Care.
  • Generate invoices for insurance claims and follow up on previously submitted claims for payment approvals.
  • Answer telephone and electronic inquiries and relay telephone calls and messages.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communication, or Customer Service from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills.
