Job Summary

AAR Hospital wishes to hire an experienced Head of Operations to oversee and optimize key support services, including biomedical engineering, facilities management, supply chain, and general hospital operations. This leadership role is crucial in ensuring seamless, cost-efficient, and high-quality hospital operations that align with the hospital’s mission and goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and manage hospital operations, including support services, biomedical engineering, facilities management, and supply chain.
  • Develop and implement strategic operational plans to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational strategies with hospital goals.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and professional development to department heads and operational teams.

2. Biomedical Engineering

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and compliance of medical equipment.
  • Ensure biomedical engineering staff are trained and certified in handling hospital equipment.
  • Manage equipment lifecycle, including budgeting and procurement.

3. Facilities Management

  • Maintain hospital infrastructure to provide a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Oversee utilities, housekeeping, security, and general maintenance.
  • Implement energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and health & safety initiatives.

4. Supply Chain & Procurement

  • Manage procurement, sourcing, inventory, and logistics for medical and operational supplies.
  • Ensure cost-effective, quality-driven supply chain solutions.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier/vendor contracts and compliance.

5. Support Services

  • Oversee security, catering, and housekeeping to ensure seamless hospital operations.
  • Drive patient satisfaction and service excellence in all support services.

6. Financial Oversight & Reporting

  • Manage departmental budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Analyze operational expenses and propose strategies for cost reduction.
  • Provide regular reports on operational performance and budget.
  • Plan and manage space, functional needs, and renovation projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in hospital operations or healthcare management.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role focusing on support services, biomedical engineering, facilities, and supply chain management.
  • Experience in hospitals with national and international accreditations.

Project Management & Leadership – Strong ability to oversee multiple departments.
Financial Acumen – Experience managing operational budgets effectively.
