About Green Belt Movement.
Back in 1977 through the late professor Wangari Mathai women of National Council of Women of Kenya reported to the late Professor that in the village their streams were drying up, getting food and firewood had become a big challenge as they would trek long enough to get them. Late Professor Wangari Mathai encouraged the women to work together and start planting seedlings allover to bind the soils together as this would improve water catchment hence reducing their challenges. Thus forming the Green Belt Movement (GBM).
1. FINANCE OFFICER
Open Positions - 1
Greenbelt Movement is seeking a qualified personnel to fit in the vacancy of a finance officer at their organization. The finance officer will be entitled with the day to day activities of a finance department at GBM.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial reports of daily cash transactions, accounts payable and receivable, and bank deposits and payments.
- Participate in preparation of timely financial reports.
- Craft a balance sheet accurately showcasing the company outflow.
- Prepare company payrolls on time.
- Ensure all company tax returns are done on time.
- Assist and contribute in creation of financial policies.
- Assist in preparation of budget for the company.
- Verify all transaction records and methods of payments.
- Participate in organizations financial annual audits.
- Ensure the organization adheres to all financial regulations as required.
Qualifications.
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 1 year experience
- Profiency in using financial tools
- Critical and analytical skills
- Financial management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent Communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and document key organizations reports.
- Assist in implementation of key organizations projects.
- Identify potential project risks and report to project managers promptly.
- Assist in administrative task such as taking minutes during meetings.
- Ensure quality of the projects through monitoring and evaluation.
- Craft and design reports of project progress.
- Assist in crafting Budgets for the organizations Projects.
- Co ordinate and schedule tasks among the project team members
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or diploma in project management.
- Certification in project management is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 1 year previous experience.
- A previous experience working with non profit organizations is an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise and educate stakeholders on how to improve production.
- Participate in research by collecting and analyzing data.
- Facilitate small groups for the stakeholders to identify and solve problems
- Communicate group meeting outcomes with the elected officials
- Link stakeholders with research information to ensure improved production.
- Ensure all safety measures are followed by all key stake holders
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Agricultural related course
- A minimum of 1 year experience

- Excellent agricultural skills
