Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treatment of patients.
- Provide specialized care to the Patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals'
- Review patients in other wards where critical care services are needed,
- Mentor nurses on critical care management
- Perform any medical procedures as per the training.
- Maintain high practice standards and accuracy.

The successful candidates will be technically reporting to the Clinical officer In charge. The Primary role of the Clinical officer will be providing Primary health care services at St John's Hospital Sirende, Immaculate Cathedral and Kiminini Cottage Hospital.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Manage medical conditions.
- Prescribe drugs to treat common illnesses.
- Collaborate with medical specialists on patient care.
- Maintain medical records appropriately.
- Perform clinical assessment and prescription of treatment for all patients according to the current MOH guidelines.
- Consultatively refer chronic cases to the various special clinics.
- Participate and conduct ward rounds efficiently.
- Accurately and efficiently document treatment in patients files.
- Carry out minor surgical procedures as per the Training scope.
- Attend to any medical emergencies that arise in the hospital and health posts.
- Participate and contribute in camp health assessments/surveys.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Dispense medication and drugs to the patients as per the prescription.
- Advise the patients on drug interactions.
- Ensure all prescriptions are accurate according to Patients needs
- Track consumption of pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceuticals in the departments and ensuring there are all accounted for.
- Ensure physical and system stocks tally there are no discrepancies.
- Scrutinize and issue pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceuticals to various departments in the hospital
- Participate in stock taking and ensure stock management analysis through Health Management Information System is well maintained and controlled.
- Scrutinize patients' prescriptions in the ward for suitability in relation to dosage, drug interaction and administration in liaison with other medical team.
- Ensure that all drugs issued from the pharmacy to the various departments are correctly tallied.
- Train students who are on attachment and ensuring they are able to achieve their objectives.
- Participate in ward rounds daily.
